HOLY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16, 2025

7:00 P.M. – Service of Tenebrae

Tenebrae is an ancient Christian Holy Week service that makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles. This increasing darkness symbolizes the approaching darkness of Jesus' death and of hopelessness in the world without God.

OVERNIGHT VIGIL WITH THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

ST. MATTHEW’S CHAPEL

Jesus came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour?” Matthew 26:40

There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for anyone that wishes to share an hour of prayer with Jesus or on Maundy Thursday, April 17 from 9:00 pm to 12:00 noon on Good Friday, April 18.

An interactive service for all ages, especially children, with an age appropriate story of Jesus’ death so we may prepare for the joy of the Resurrection!
